Terminology

Average Life Time

It is the duration over which 50% of a large number of identical units are expected to expire when operated under a given strictly controlled condition. Memolux lamps are guaranteed for 10,000 hours.

Colour Rendering Index (Ra)

It is the measure of how the coloured objects would appear compared to their appearance under a reference lamp at the same temperature. Memolux have an Ra of 80. The scale of the index is 1-100, the higher the index the more accurate the colour.

Colour Temperature

It is the measure of the colour appearance of the lamps. Item selection is based on personal preference and use. Memolux offer a choice of 2700 (warm white), 4000 (neutral white) & 6500 (daylight).

Lumen

The lumen is the unit of luminous flux and is defined as the amount of light that falls on one square meter. This will reduce over the life of the lamp.

Efficacy—Lumen per watt

The light output in lumens produced by a source for each watt of electrical power supplied to the source.

Lumen Maintenance 2000 hours
It means the luminous flux of a lamp at 2000 hours in the rated average life of a lamp, including the initial operating hours, divided by the initial value of the luminous flux of the lamp and expressed as a percentage of the initial luminous flux.
